Dies Septima

Salvete, omnes! Today, we continued our Latin classes. In Si se non noverit, Mr. Cavedo taught us how to recite "Orpheus and Eurydice" in dactylic hexameter. Then, in Latina Pro Vicis, Magister Perry asked each student to present a possession of their own to the class, including the object's color and size. In Artes Romanae, Ms. Carroll taught students about Augustan art.
Then, we all received an exciting visit from Legio XX! Members of the legion showed students how a Roman soldier would defend himself and demonstrated cooking and spinning wool techniques.
We ended the night with a showing of the hilarious comedy, "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum"! Magistra Carroll noted the parallels between the comedy and our own play, Curculio.
Keep checking for more blog posts, and continue to send letters! Valete, omnes!
